Wanting a High School Diploma?
You must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in Adult Education. Enrollment is based on space availability.
Victor Valley Adult School is regulated by the California Department of Education. Our diploma is recognized by the California Department of Education as completion of the requirement for a California High School diploma.
Students must master the same content standard based curriculum and pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) as any other regular high school student.
Therefore, a diploma awarded through Victor Valley Adult Education is equal to a diploma awarded through a traditional high school.
Students must provide their official transcripts* BEFORE potentially being enrolled.
*Official transcripts have been sealed and stamped "official" by the last high school you attended. DO NOT OPEN THEM!
Types Of Instruction
May choose either Independent Study or seat time (seat time: availability of classroom seats on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4-8PM).
The student meets with the instructor one evening per week. Credits are earned on a weekly basis. A minimum of one (1) credit per week is required to continue in the program.
Appointments are arranged by the instructor and student. They are set for either Tuesday or Thursday evenings between 4 - 8 PM. Students missing any three (3) appointments will be dropped from the program.
Classroom Seat Time
Credits for the diploma for students who have chosen seat time, are completed by the student who is consistently attending class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 7:30pm.
Attendance for this class is based on the time spent in the classroom. If a student is not completing a minimum of one (1) credit per week, they may be dropped.
