School Site Council
What is School Site Council?
Every school within the VVUHSD is required to have a site council. The School Site Council (SSC) is composed of the principal, parents, students and faculty. The Cobalt Middle School Site Council meets once a month after school to discuss issues and concerns affecting our school. SSC oversees the development of the school’s academic plan, monitors its achievements, and makes recommendations for necessary changes. Much of the academic and social programming involving you and your children is a direct result of this plan.
School Site Council Meetings are held at 4:30 PM in classroom A-3 (unless otherwise noted), and the public is welcome to attend.
We welcome all parents to be a part of this very important Council. We will have our election for the CMS School Site Council at our Back-to-School night on September 9th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Please contact Melda Gaskins, Ed.D, Principal @ 955-2530 ext. 45110 to get your name on the ballot, or just put your name on the list at the information table during Orientation.
